Parent's Association
The Parents Association (PA) is a structure through which parents and guardians work together to support the best possible education for our children. The PA acts as a bridge between home and school, fostering a strong sense of community and partnership.
The aim of the PA is to provide a forum for the parents/guardians of children attending Carrowholly National School to work together, in partnership with the Principal, Board of Management and the whole school community, to help provide the best possible education for children attending the school, in accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1998.
The PA meets regularly to discuss many aspects for school life, including, but not limited to:
- Policy issues and incidents that may require a review of school policy, e.g. Bullying, Safety, Homework, Enrolment etc (with the support the principal and Board of Management).
- Extra-curricular activities.
- Fundraising efforts for our school.
- Support for parents in the school.
- Guest speakers to address the parents on issues which are topical or relevant e.g. Internet Safety.
The PA can be contacted on carrowhollyns.pa@gmail.com
