Such fun we had participating in the Westport St Patrick's Day parade this year. The theme of the parade was 'reeling in the years' which was very fitting for our 80 year celebrations here in Carrowholly NS.
Our float was a vibrantly coloured blast from the past with a TV trolley, old desk, blackboard, fire, turf and milk bottles in place. Not to mention our Mr Grimes as our múinteoir. Our repertoire consisted of some oldies such as Beidh Aonach Amárach, Mo Sheamúisín and Óro sé do Bheatha Bhaile. We Also played some tunes on the tin whistle.
We couldn't have done it without the incredible Carrowholly community spirit - staff, parents, pupils, past pupils and friends old and new.
